Working with AlphaPixel

How do we engage AlphaPixel?

As a subcontractor, a team-augmentation partner, or the hired specialists for one hard piece of a larger effort. Tell us the problem through our contact page; scope and cost depend on the work, so we quote after we understand it.

Do you take defense and export-controlled work?

Yes. AlphaPixel is a US-owned small business, DLA DD2345 and ITAR registered, with US-citizen staff, and we take closed-source defense work and open source alike.

Do you sell a product, or do you build to spec?

We build and fix software to spec, port and modernize legacy code, and release open-source libraries like Slughorn. We are not trying to sell you a single product, so our advice is not a pitch for one.

What makes AlphaPixel different from a general software shop?

Seven senior developers who each have 25-plus years in 3D graphics, GPU, and imaging. You get people who have already put this work on real aircraft, spacecraft, and vehicles in the field, not generalists learning the domain on your budget.

What technologies do you specialize in?

Real-time 3D and GPU work on OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenSceneGraph, osgEarth, and VulkanSceneGraph, plus computer vision with OpenCV and CUDA, geospatial and terrain with GDAL and Cesium, and visual simulation.

Can you join a project that is already underway?

Yes. We extend work in progress, augment an existing team, and modernize or forward-port legacy code so it builds and runs on current platforms.

Where are you located, and do you work remotely?

We are based in Evergreen, Colorado, and work remotely with clients worldwide.

How do we get started?

Bring the problem, the data, the target hardware, and your constraints, and reach us through the contact page. We will tell you straight whether it is something we can help with and how we would approach it.
